LIVING IN CHRIST’S VICTORY

Notice the statements in the opening text. It says, "We are more than conquerors." This suggests that our victory over the adversary is an old conclusion. Not only that, we're already basking in the victory; it's already a vital part of our existence.

There are those who ignorantly weep over the sufferings of Christ on the cross for us, lamenting what pain and humiliation He suffered for our sake. Christ suffered for us on the cross, but that suffering brought us eternal life and ushered us into everlasting victory. Rather than lament, we ought to celebrate that Jesus died for us; we ought to declare, every day, the victory of His death.

When the Lord Jesus appeared to His disciples after His resurrection, He announced, "All hail" (Matthew 28:9). This was a shout of victory. 1 John 3:8 says, "...For this purpose the Son of God manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil." The enemy has been defeated, and his works are paralyzed. Jesus has already done it. He's not trying to make us victorious today; we're already victors in Him. We're not trying to conquer; we're already more than conquerors. The reality is this: we've gone past the stage of celebrating our victory in Christ. We celebrated when we found out about His vicarious sacrifice on our behalf; now, we’re living out that victory.

Being more than a conqueror means you’ve passed conquering; you’re now living in the victory. It has become your daily experience. Take, for example, an athlete who competes in the Olympics and wins the gold medal. At that instant, he joyously celebrates his victory with teammates, friends, and well-wishers. When he receives the prize money and starts spending or living off it, it’s no longer an expression of celebration; he's now living in the victory he obtained. It’s become a vital experience. So, he's gone past conquering or winning; he's relishing the result of his victory, as it were. That's our experience as being more than conquerors.

We've passed the level of celebrating the victory we have in Christ over sickness, poverty, defeat, and discouragement. We now enjoy and live in divine health, prosperity, victory, and dominion. We're no longer trying to find out whether we have some issues with the devil; no! We're superior to him. If you were lying on a sickbed, it's time to get up, for you've been healed in Christ. The same thing goes for poverty; it shouldn't take a hold of you anymore because Jesus took your place of poverty on the Cross and gave you prosperity (2 Corinthians 8:9). Your total salvation (i.e., your joy, health, peace, prosperity, progress, success, and victory) is the reason for the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.

Live with this consciousness today. Live in the victory of Christ. Exercise your dominion over Satan, fear, sickness, discouragement, and lack. The day you were born again, you were born into total and continuous victory. Therefore, live each day of your life in victory over every situation. That’s the life of the believer. Victory is your birthright. Have the consciousness that you can’t be defeated or disadvantaged. Walk in the light of your victory over the world, the devil, and the circumstances of life! Have the mindset of a victor!

We trust you’ve been blessed by this article. We invite you to accept Jesus Christ as the Lord of your life by praying thus:
“O Lord God, I believe with all my heart in Jesus Christ, Son of the living God. I believe He died for me and God raised Him from the dead. I believe He’s alive today. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life from this day. Through Him and in His Name, I’ve eternal life; I’m born again. Thank you, Lord for saving my soul! I’m now a child of God. Hallelujah!” Congratulations you are now a Child of God!
