I once read the story of John G. Lake. While he was a missionary in South Africa, there was a bubonic plague outbreak that destroyed many people. It was said that all the officials who came to care for the sick and bury the dead had to wear protective clothing, but Lake didn’t. When asked; why he hadn’t contracted the deadly disease, he replied; that the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus had made him free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2). As long as he walked in the light of that law, no germ could attach itself to him.

Demonstrate God’s Word in Action
To demonstrate the reality of God’s Word to the doubting medical officials, Lake asked that an experiment be carried out on him with live samples of the bubonic plague bacteria. They placed the live bacteria in his hands and observed them under a microscope. To their utter amazement, the bacteria died on contact with Lake’s hand! The man had so contemplated the life of God in him that he knew his body could not be infected by any infirmity.

Live A Disease—Destroying Life
This is a greater truth; it’s greater than healing. The life of a Christian is not subject to disease; it’s a disease-destroying life! In the Old Testament, God said the life of the flesh (the human body) is in the blood (Leviticus 17:11), and that’s why when the blood is infected, sickness follows.
However, when you’re born again, you cease to live by blood. The Bible says that; if Christ is in you, though your body be dead because of sin, the Spirit gives it life because of righteousness (Romans 8:10). This means the Holy Spirit gives life to your physical body because of your new nature of righteousness.
The next verse of Romans 8 makes it even stronger; it says, “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to (or vitalize) your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you” (Romans 8:11 NKJV). This makes you impregnable to sickness, disease, and infirmity.

Walk In the Light of Your Victory
Walk in the light of your victory today. Walk free of sickness, disease, and infirmity. The Lord Jesus Christ has done everything necessary to bring you out of any and every predicament. You don’t have to do anything to qualify for God’s blessing. Jesus did everything that was required.
In this realm of life, you don’t need healing for your body because no infirmity can successfully thrive in it. God wants all His children to function in this realm of life. If you’re born again, you’ve gone past healing; you’re the healed and God constantly nourishes your body by His Spirit that lives in you.
More so, you’ve become a healer. Jesus said, “Heal the sick.” He didn’t say, “Look for healing.” Stay connected to God’s Word that speaks of your health. Believe it, receive it, speak it, and act on it. It’s the final authority as far as your health is concerned.
